Exchange of Ideas

Networking is at the heart of our organisation; something that our membership value highly within the Society. In our ever busier working lives, the opportunity to interact with our friends and colleagues in marketing is a vital element of nourishing ourselves and our skills. Each event that we run has specific times to interact, reflect and catch up. From the blackberry break to specific discussion our emphasis is on interaction and sharing.

Applied Knowledge

Our aim to ensure that the value we provide to our members is anchored in applied thinking. Whilst we will challenge our members with the best current thinking in marketing, it always has relevance and application to the day to day work of our members.

Marketing Society Theme & News for 2011/2012

The Marketing Society’s mission in the year ahead, is to make sure that marketing and its relevant disciplines are at the heart of the Irish economy’s recovery. To achieve this, the Society plans to deliver a series of relevant events, based around this year’s theme of ‘Building through Positivity’

The current Chairperson of the newly elected Council is Aoife Sadlier.  Aoife is currently Research Director with AskChili, a pioneering market research agency. She has previously held various marketing roles in both New York and Chicago and has worked with a number of research agencies in Dublin, most recently as a Director of SparkQual, a specialist qualitative research agency and Millward Brown Lansdowne, where she was an Account Director and Head of the Qualitative Unit. Aoife works for many of Ireland’s leading brands across all different sectors. She specialises in brand development, strategy and communications research.
Angela Healy of Empathy Research is the incoming Vice Chairperson. 

The council is also delighted to welcome four new members this year - Leona Daly (Heineken), Pat Stephenson (Boys and Girls) Mark Nolan (Amárach) and Grainne O’Brien (Murray Consultants).
